I am sending back to you (by parcel post) the manuscript of Prof. [Professor Charles Scott] Sherrington's paper, which you were so good as to return for his use, and I have to ask that you will now kindly report upon it in accordance with my letter of reference of December 16th. I should be obliged if you would let me have your report on the paper by the 13th inst. [instant] if possible.
