The dates in the original manuscript appearing to the Society somewhat inconsistent, they were submitted to Professor Vaughan Harley, and the dates given in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' were the result of Harley's revision of the manuscript. The spelling of Syme's name will be corrected in erratum. |
