DescriptionIn reply to the Under Secretary's letter of the 27th, Foster is directed to ask the Under Secretary to convey to the Marquis of Salisbury the thanks of the Society for his courtesy in placing alternative courses before them, and they wish to recommend that the present President of the Royal Society, Lord Lister, being willing, should serve on the Royal Commission for the Paris Exhibition.
