DescriptionAcknowledges Romero's note from 8 January 1898 which enclosed a copy of a letter addressed to Professor Foster, the Senior Secretary [of the Royal Society] and expresses his regret that the letter has not been earlier acknowledged. The original letter, which was sent to Cambridge, lay unopened due to Foster's absence in Italy and the Christmas holidays.

Harrison desires to assure Romero that the letter will be laid before the International Catalogue Committee at its next meeting, and to express gratification for work by the Mexican government who have organized a National Bureau for assistance in the work of the proposed International Catalogues of Scientific Literature.
