| Description | The Council have referred Mr Erskine Murray's paper with Kelvin's appeal and suggested modifications to the Sectional Committee of Physics and Chemistry with the request that the Committee will report as to whether the changes in the paper and the arguments adduced modify their opinions as to the scientific merits of the paper. The matter can therefore not be settled until the next meeting of Council which takes place on March 17.
The chart of temperature [curves?] which Kelvin asked Murray to send has not arrived yet. Is very important that it is received as soon as possible. |
