|Sends the enclosed [not enclosed] draft schedules to 'The Weights and Measures (Metric System) Act, 1897', which, with the corrections made, the President and the Council suggest should be shown to Her Majesty in Council.
Provides definitions of the Standards as approved by the Council for the metre, the kilogram, and the litre. Also directed to say that the use of the word 'weight' in the definition of the kilogram is not in accord with mordern scientific usage, and that the substitution of the word 'mass' would have been suggested by the President and Council had they not been informed of the legal objections to this change.
