TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Michael Foster [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date22 January 1898
DescriptionAdvises that Professor G Darwin has sent sundry recommendations and reports on papers to be circulated among the members for their opinions rather than have a meeting of his Sectional Committee. Raises the issue of the conducting of the Sectional Committee's work and the increasing of the workload for office staff. Suggests that Darwin should be asked to occasionally have the Mathematics Committee meet in London to allow London members the chance of attending and discussing papers. The Committee has never met in London and only held two meetings, both in Cambridge, and has four 'Transactions [of the Royal Society]' papers before it.
