DescriptionEncloses a letter from Messrs Clay. Has consulted the Secretaries and Treasurers regarding the 'serious question' raised by the letter. The Officers concur that the Messrs protests are well justified. Asks Chambers to give full attention to the matters raised by the Messrs, particularly in dealing with future sheets of the 'Catalogue' [of scientific literature], that she will pay attention to the copy in the sense indicated by the Messrs and ignore trifling typographical details. Asks for the return of the Messrs letter.
