The Government Grant Review Committee has been reappointed to consist of the Officers and Dr [William Thomas] Blanford, Professor [William Dobinson] Halliburton, Dr H Muller, Mr W D Niven, Professor Reindold, Dr Russell and Dr D H Scott.

Council have directed that the photographs of clouds which accompanied the Government Grant apparatus returned by Mr Piazzi Smyth, shall be placed in the Royal Society's library for reference.
