|Title||Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Arthur Schuster, [Fellow of the Royal Society]|
|Date||19 October 1899|
|Description||Rucker is directed by the Committee of Physics and Chemistry to ask if Schuster would be kind enough to prepare a short notice for the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' of that part of Mr Sworn's paper which they think of scientific interest. All that is wanted is a short statement of the problems dealt with and of the nature of the more important and least doubtful remarks. |
In view of Schuster's own criticisms and those of his fellow referee, the Committee did not feel inclined to publish the paper as a whole.
