TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Captain William de Wiveleslie Abney, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date8 February 1889
DescriptionRix notes that Abney has not had any response to his letter about his paper which was received on 25 May 1887 and read in June 1887, the proof of which Abney still has in his possession. The photogramme company write to Rix continually to hear when they may finish the job, but Rix cannot give them the plate numbers because he does not know when they will arrive. Lord Rayleigh also has also been continually inquiring about the paper, and Rix asks what is to be done.

If Abney has lost the proof he should let Rix know so that he can supply a replacement, but if not, he asks that the corrections are sent or permission is granted to print the paper without them.
