Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to General James Thomas Walker, Fellow of the Royal Society, 13 Cromwell Road, S.W. |
Date | 7 December 1887 |
Description | Rix was informed by the Royal Society Officers' that the only legal way for Colonel Clark's name to be replaced on the list of the Society Fellows would be crossing it out and signing a certificate 'in the usual way', and when the time for selecting candidates arrives for sixteen instead of fifteen to be selected, including Clarke.
A enclosed copy [not included] of a form of certificate, with copies of the contacts from the old certificate, is to be completed and returned on one of two suggested dates to get the six signatures needed, allowing it to be read on the same day. |
