TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to John Evans, Treasurer of the Royal Society
Date1 October 1888
DescriptionDiscusses the state of carpets at the Royal Society having viewed them with Mrs Kennedy today, noting the carpet in the Officers' room as too ragged to go down again. Rix proposes that two old Turkey carpets from the Council Room be moved to the Officers' Room and a new one purchased for the Council Room, and asks for Evans advice on the matter when he is next in town.

The matting round the Meeting Room needs replacement, and Rix suggests linoleum.
