DescriptionRix is directed by the Royal Society Treasurer, John Evans, to send the enclosed letter [not included] from Mr Howard and ask whether he should hand him the 33 pounds and ten shillings voted for by the Council in June 1887 for improvements and repairs to Mablethorpe. Rix requests a quick response as their accounts will shortly be closed, meaning the cheque, if passed, should go through at once.
