TitleCopy letter from an unknown correspondent, to the Manager, Willis's Rooms
Date27 November 1888
Description'186 people have put down their names for the dinner. You will please remember that we never pledge ourselves to a fixed number. The arrangement will be as in former years:- we give you the number who put down their names, and you take the chance of a few additions or the risk of a few withdrawals. You had better have the wine ready for Mr Lockyer to taste this evening. He cannot come tomorrow. Have the other wines ready as well as the champagne. Dr Frankland & Dr Quain will come, I believe, tomorrow'.
