TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Sorby
Date8 January 1889
DescriptionBede was once in the Royal Society Library, but is no longer there as a former librarian disposed of it. Rix will keep an eye out for the chance to pick up a copy.

Rix encloses the Conversazione programme but can only suggest Dr Bell of the Inland Revenue Laboratory, Somerset House, who gave a good soirée with the Institute of Chemistry. The most popular exhibit they had was the living ants by Mr Burns of the Fulham Free Library, London, but Rix expects that he would want at least five pounds.
