TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Martin Conway
Date21 February 1900
DescriptionIn reply to Conway's enquiry, the Register Book, volume ii, pages 156-160, contains enquiries propounded to, and answered by Mr Gray, that have been several times in Greenland. These were brought in by Mr Oldenburgh, 25 February 1662. A copy of the paper is preserved in the archives but the original is not at the Society. It is highly probable the Sloane manuscript, MS.3986, to which Conway referees, is the original.

Register Book ii also contains an article on 'The Manner of the Whale-fishing in Groenland. Given by Mr. Gray to Mr. Oldenburg for the Society. November 4, 1663'. It is accompanied by illustrations and Harrison would be glad to know if Conway would like to see it.
