| Description | Is sorry to find from Professor G Darwin that there has been some miscarriage of the conveyance of the Council's thanks for the barometer which the executors of the late Charles Darwin presented to the Royal Society in December. The gift was announced at the Council Meeting on 7 December, when a cordial vote of thanks was recorded.
Regrets that a letter embodying these facts must have miscarried. The gift is valued very highly indeed. |
