DescriptionWyon may already have received intimation that the Queen has approved the award of the two Royal Medals for the year to Major [Percy Alexander] MacMahon and Professor Alfred Newton. The Mint informs Harrison that Wyon prepares the two medals, but the Society has no means of knowing if Wyon has been requested to prepare them for this year. Asks if following the Royal Society's letter to the Keeper of the Privy Purse, Wyson is, as a matter of course, requested to prepare the medals.
