DescriptionAcknowledges the Messrs letter of 12 January with the contract note for £500 Italian Irrigation Bonds.

Provides information regarding the Sylvester Medal in response to the Messrs statement that the Bank of England requires information as to the reason of the transfer of 380 Egyptian three and a half percent stock to Baron Rothschild.

Asks the Messrs to invest the £791-3-0, which includes the £384-13-6 Rothschild took as stock on behalf of the Society, in the Local Loans three percent stock, after deducting any sum they may have to pay for stamp duty.
