DescriptionReplies to his letter to say that it is true an unusually large amount of the Publications Grant has already been voted to outside publications. Informs him that the principal votes out of this year's grant include sums of £170 to the Royal Society of Edinburgh for the Ben Nevis Observations, £125 towards a revised edition of Taylor's 'Madras Star Catalogue', £125 towards the results of the Sandwich Islands Committe's investigations, and installments of £330 towards the result of the Athropological Expedition to Torres Straits.
