DescriptionHerdman's application for volumes of the 'Challenger' report will be sent in to the Treasury. The Botany and Geology Committees have met, and Dr Blanford and Mr [Francis] Darwin should be in touch about Professor Lankester's proposals. Requests the time and date of the next Zoology Committee. Dr Gemmill's paper will need formal reference, and one or two 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' papers are in the course of publication. Encloses a card [not enclosed] regarding a new paper by Mr Punnett, and requests Herdman to name provisional referees.
