TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Mrs D Waterhouse, Wellhead, Halifax
Date29 July 1901
DescriptionReplies to her letter to inform her that the Royal Society's publications comprise of 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' and 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. The early volumes of the former are valuable, those from 1665 to 1800, after which they are less so and can be purchased with some exceptions at discount rates.

Volumes seven, nine, 10, 14 and 15 of 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' are in demand, the succeeding volumes less so. However, complete sets of either for any fairly long period are always an acceptable gift for institutions.
