DescriptionThe National Physical Laboratory have reported the consultation regarding the establishment of a new Magnetic Observatory at Eskdale Muir to replace the one at Kew, which has been destroyed by electric tramways. President and Council signify their approval, and request that the Government proceed with construction, as it is desirable that there should be no delay in order to avoid a break in records.
