DescriptionDr Joseph Larmor would like him to have the proof of Professor Forbes's paper on 'A Portable Telemeter, or Range-Finder' and the accompanying number of the Society of Arts Journal for 20 December containing the lecture by Forbes on the same subject. Larmor would like Boys to compare the two, and instruct the Royal Society whether they should go ahead with publication.

Until then, the Royal Society are not to send the proof to the author.
