DescriptionHarrison received a letter from the India Office asking when they may expect the opinion of the Observatories Committee on the question of instruments for the new Magnetic Observatory at Bombay. Sending a letter relating to the recommendations made by the Committee on the previous references regarding instruments for Colaba etc.

A more important matter is the letter received last week asking the opinion of the Observatories Committee on the question of closing or maintaining the Poona Observatory. Documents have been received, and it would be worth calling a meeting.
