DescriptionPresident and Council direct Foster to state that at their meeting the letter from the Privy Council and Dr Waldstein's communication were carefully considered, and they resolved that they do not think it desirable to attempt to organize into one institution the several branches of knowledge Waldstein proposes, and they could not consent to the Royal Society becoming one department of such an academy.
