DescriptionWith reference to Deckert's letter of 25 August in which he expresses a desire to exchange some of his photographs of Mount Pelée for photographs taken there lately by the English Commission, the negatives are still being developed and the report not likely to be completed for some time. The Committee as yet have not had opportunity to examine the photographs and decide which will be published. Under such circumstances it would not be feasible to presently make an exchange. A copy of the preliminary report is sent [not enclosed].
