DescriptionIs directed by the President [William Huggins] to acknowledge the receipt of Lockie's communication of 25 October. It being an established rule of the Society never to give their opinion on subjects submitted to them, Huggins is not prepared to enter into the merits of the invention Lockie describes. Returns Lockie's communication by this post. Huggins regrets he is not in possession of the information Lockie desires as to the address of certain bodies connected with fire extinction.
