Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Cecil Dampier Whetham, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 19 February 1904 |
Description | Harrison has discovered that the delay in supplying Murray with the blocks required for Whetham's book is due to the fact that a great number of illustrations which he wants reproduced are not half tone blocks but collotypes which are not permanent and not capable of furnishing electrotypes. He has visited Murray in person to explain and has left a memorandum with particulars of the illustrations and has said that every facility of the Royal Society will be available for making reproductions, and so the matter rests with them. If the originals need to be lent to reproduce the illustrations he does not anticipate any difficulties. |
