TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir William Crookes, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date5 January 1904
DescriptionHarrison responds to Crookes letter of 20 December to inform him that Edward Matthey's certificate has been up 16 times, and is therefore ineligible for any more re-suspensions. He states that all Fellows of the Royal Society were informed via a Circular, from which he quotes, of a revision of Statutes which means that candidates may only be considered for five years on the same certificate. If Crookes wishes to continue Mr Matthey's candidature he will need a new certificate to be made out for him.
