Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to The Under Secretary of State for India, India Office |
Date | 31 August 1904 |
Description | In reply to Sir Horace Walpole's letter of 26 August, Geikie states that as the Royal Society is in vacation, no definite answer can be given to the questions proposed. But he ventures to add that he thinks no difficulty will be found in carrying out the wishes expressed in that letter, which will be laid before the Indian Advisory Committee and Observatories Committee at an early date. Copies of the printed Programme of Research Work which accompanied Walpole's letter will be distributed to members of those Committees. |
