|Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edwin Ray Lankester, Fellow of the Royal Society
|7 November 1904
|A letter marked immediate has been received from the Foreign Office, containing a report of the suspected spread of sleeping sickness along the Victoria Nile, and proposing that Captain Greig start at once to investigate. His commission has been extended for the purpose. There was also a further telegram about appointing an epidemiologist. Colonel David Bruce thinks the committee should be called to discuss the matter. The committee can also consider the question of the African Coast Fever reports. The Colonial Office would like a reply before Thursday.
