Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to [Sir Clement Lloyd] Hill, Foreign Office |
Date | 11 November 1904 |
Description | The Tropical Diseases Committee are satisfied with the prompt steps that have been taken regarding the continuation of Captain Greig's services and of the arrangements proposed to be made for his return down the Nile Valley in order to make preliminary enquiries regarding sleeping sickness. A senior officer should replace Greig in the meantime. The Committee is convinced that much more vigorous action is necessary in the investigation of sleeping sickness, and they have looked into procuring a trained zoologist and medical man to be employed in the Uganda Protectorate. |
