TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Edwin Ray Lankester, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date17 November 1904
DescriptionThanks him for his statement on his views. This question of a permanent post of the for the investigation of parasite protozoa came before the Council and its consideration was deferred pending some readjustment of the financial relations of the Committees to the Treasury.

Lankester speaks of a deputation to Chamberlain, but Joseph is no longer a minister and his successor at the Colonial Office is Littleton, as Lankester knows. Any involvement by the Council of direct appeal to the Government would be direct to Austen Chamberlain or to Balfour and him conjointly. But all this will have to be discussed by Council.
