Description | In response to Tyndall's note, Rix sends a copy of the latest Royal Society Statutes which may be of use to Tyndall's friend in Cuba. The Charters are not printed in any separate form, but they are given at length in the appendix to Weld's 'History of the Royal Society'. Rix suggests that, even in Cuba, there might be found a copy of the new edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, in which can be found an article by Rix outling the history and constitution of the Society. |
