Description | The Royal Society have received from the US Geodetic Survey a barometer and thermometers belonging to the Kater pendulums. General Walker has informed Rix that they are not wanted at Greenwich, and so they had better go to Kew. The Society President has asked Rix to write and advise Whipple of their arrival and ask whether he should send them. |
