DescriptionRix lists the nine items which they took note of as being in the box, and the five items which Walker has returned, leaving four items and a bound book and supplementary paper which he borrowed on 22 November 1888. Rox notes that item two in the list is now required, which has been described by Colonel Herschel as a folio brown paper guard book with slips pased in it.

Rix notes that the Smithsonian Institute send their despatch next Thursday, and they wish to have the manuscript in question before that date.
