The enclosed letter & receipt which were sent by us to Mr Scott were probably sent on by Mr Scott to Mr Lutham. Mr Scott is intitled to these volumes at a reduced price as a FRS [Fellow of the Royal Society] and he has bought them for Mr Lutham. The receipt is really Mr Lutham's though I had the cheque from Mr Scott.
