|Title||Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir Charles Cameron, Royal College of Surgeons, Stephen's Green, Dublin|
|Date||29 April 1889|
|Description||Rix notes that they only received Cameron's second proof after his paper had gone to the printers, and so it was too late to stop the press. The paper lacked an abstract, such as as included for those intended for 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', and they were informed by the communicator that it was for 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. Rix will raise the matter and let Cameron hear further.|
A postscript suggests that the distinction between 'Philosophical Transactions' and 'Proceedings' is not as distinct as it used to be, with the letter 'P' no longer appearing against the name of a Fellow of the Society who has had a paper in 'Philosophical Transactions'.
