TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Armstrong, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date22 May 1889
DescriptionRix explains that he is sending the manuscript of Thomas Andrews, which, when it was brought before the Committee of Papers, they did not know it was intended by the author for 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. Rix states that there may be another reason for referring the paper which he does not know, but if it was with a view to 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' preceding events should be taken into account.

The author is noted as preferring to publish it in 'Proceedings' as parts 1 and 2 are already printed there.
