Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Edward Albert Schafer, Fellow of the Royal Society, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth |
Date | 18 September 1889 |
Description | Rix notes that he was handed Schafer's note by Alfred H White before he went on holiday, and suggests that White had lacked a clear idea of the appendix and simply given it up 'for a bad job'. Rix, however, thinks the best solution would be to set it up in type and leave the arrangement to Schafer and so has begun this process, with the proof to be ready in a few days.
With regard to his enquiry about the rest of the text, Rix is not sure why this has not been received so plans to go the printers that evening to enquire further. |
