Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Dukinfield Henry Scott, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 4 May 1905 |
Description | Thanks Scott for his letter but it is evident that the question of the despatch of the new 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' will have to be re-opened, because the Society has already received another request from a Fellow to have only one series. Harrison will bring the matter forward at the next Officer's meeting.
Has no other complaints of mis-prints in the proof of the candidate's certificates and briefly re-explains why there would be difficulties in submitting proofs. Suggests an alternative whereby the proofs are revised by the several secretaries having the necessary technical knowledge, but is afraid his superior officers would not appreciate having that burden cast upon them, especially in view of the very bad handwriting which they some times have to deal with. |
