Title | Copy letter from Joseph Larmor and Archibald Geikie to the Under Secretary of State, Foreign Office |
Date | 25 May 1905 |
Description | With reference to the Under Secretary's letter of 22 April enclosing a copy of a despatch from His Majesty's Minister at the Hague on a contribution to the International Botanical Society, the Society thinks that as the relation of the International Botanical Association to the Government Botanical Establishments in the various countries is not very closely defined, the subject of national subventions to this organization might await the consideration of the International Association of of Academies, before a decision is made. A reply to this effect would make it possible for the Royal Academy of Sciences at Amsterdam to introduce the subject for consideration before that Association, of which it is a constituent Academy. |
