Lubbock & Company report that on 28 June they received a letter from Rosse in which he presented his compliments and asked them to place two enclosed cheques to the credit of the Huggins Portrait Fund. In the pass book £10.10.0 is entered under Rosse's name, queries who has subscribed three guineas.
