Description | Geikie communicates the views of the Royal Society's Committee on Mediterranean Fever regarding the letter of the Governor of Malta, 6 July 1905, namely that while they still believe the scheme proposed in their letter of 13 April would be best, they consider the arrangements detailed in paragraph 4 to be satisfactory. They maintain their belief in the necessity of a trained English medical officer being sent to Malta, for a year, to supervise the reorganisation of this branch of the public service.
He also states their view that the necessity of reform means that the Maltese Government should bear the costs, rather than the Mediterranean Fever Commission. |
