|Title||Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Reverend [Frederick John] Jervis-Smith, Fellow of the Royal Society, Battramsley House, Lymington|
|Date||11 June 1906|
|Description||'Dear Mr Jervis Smith,|
The President has sent on to me your letter to him of Saturday, about an invitation to the Soirée, with an authority to accede to your request. I accordingly enclose a card. I duly received your previous letter on the subject, but having as you probably know, no power myself to issue invitations, I was obliged to consult a higher authority before replying.
Believe me, very truly yours,
Robt [Robert] Harrison'.
|Physical description||Typescript. The letter has ripped away from the page, but has been reattached with paper tabs.|
