DescriptionHis Majesty's Offices of Works have informed Harrison that the Royal Society's fire appliances need cleaning, testing and overhauling, with particular attention to be paid to a fire valve than cannot be opened and a leather hose that requires testing. On the basis of their having done similar work before, he asks that they take on this job and submit a report.
