TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Colonel J Schokalsky, Bibliotheque du Ministere la Marine, St Petersburg
Date6 July 1906
DescriptionThe Society has made every endeavour to secure the despatch of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' to the library of the Russian Naval Ministry. At present there is a package at St Petersburg as to which the Society is informed by Messrs Stockwell & Company that the consignees do not attend to the claiming of it. For this package the Society used the Russian and English labels the library sent in October 1905. The Society's printers will now request Messrs Stockwell & Company to inform their correspondent at St Petersburg that the package will be claimed by Schokalsky, hence there should be no further difficulty. In future the Transactions shall be consigned to the Russian Naval Attache in London as Schokalsky desires.
