| Description | Before replying to Waller's letter of 19 July Waller has consulted the Chairman of the Physiology Sectional Committee with reference to the abbreviation of Mr Mudge's paper. The Chairman thinks that Mudge might be asked to abbreviate his paper as far as possible on the line indicated by one of the referee's, and enclose a copy of the remarks of the referee in question. The referee's recommendations are sent only as a suggestion and not as definite conditions, and the Chairman is of the opinion that the Committee would not be adverse to the publication of Mudge's paper if it were materially shortened, even if the Referee's suggestions were not all carried out by the author. Returns Mudge's manuscript herewith, in accordance with his request to withdraw the paper on the author's behalf. |
